1. How do I apply for a Statement of Comparability or English Language Assessment?

Detailed information on our Services and Prices and the various steps on how to apply can be found in the application section.

By Post:

Please submit a covering letter, with all your contact details, and a photocopy of all your academic documentation, including your final transcripts and final certificate to UK NARIC. If you are paying by cheque or postal order, please make this payable to ECCTIS Ltd.

Check out our YouTube video on how to apply online:

2. What is the difference between a Statement of Comparability and English Language Assessment?

The UK NARIC Statement of Comparability is an officially recognised document that confirms the recognition of an overseas qualification and its comparable level in the UK, irrespective of it being an academic, vocational or professional award. It does not contain any information on the medium of instruction.

The English Language Assessment assesses whether an individual's English language proficiency is equivalent to CEFR level A1, B1, B2 or C1, based on completion of academic qualifications taught in English. This service comments only on English proficiency and does not include information on the comparable level of the award.

5. How much does it cost and how long does it take?

For a full list of services and prices, along with estimated completion times please see Services and Prices. If you have already made an application to UK NARIC, you can track your enquiry online via the UK NARIC User Portal.

For the English Language Assessment you need to submit a colour photocopy or scanned version of your final certificate / diploma, transcripts (mark sheets), and a letter from the institution where you studied, confirming that your qualification was taught in English. If these are not in English, you will also need to submit a photocopy or scanned version of a certified English translation.

9. What is a certified translation?

If your documents are not in English, and you do not wish to, or are not eligible to, use our Translation Waiver Service, you will need to submit a photocopy of a certified English translation of your documents. A certified translation must be completed by a qualified translator. They would need to sign or stamp the translation and add a declaration to state that they have completed a true and accurate translation of the original document.

Please note that if you apply for the Statement of Comparability with Translation Waiver Scheme you will NOT receive an English translation of the documentation submitted.

Visit our page for more information.
